Travel to South Vietnam, visit the green and wonderful Mekong delta and learn about the struggles underground during the Vietnam War from a local perspective. Tours the infamous Cu Chi war tunnels and soaks up vibrant modern life in Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon).

The Mekong River is one of the world s 10th rivers in its river length and has great influences upon nature and societies of the Indo-china Peninsula.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City arrival (D)

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International airport met our guide then transferred to your hotel for check-in. Ho Chi Minh City I still called Saigon by many locals. It takes in the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, a lacquer ware factory and War Museum.

Dinner will be served at Saigon Cruise restaurant with traditional music performance.

Day 02: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi - Vung Tau (B, L, D)

Transfer to Cu Chi, passing paddy fields. On the way you will have the opportunity to make villages and witness how rice paper is made. In Cu Chi you will explore the amazing labyrinth of tunnels used by the guerrillas during the war. Proceed to Vung Tau, a well known coastal resort 125 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival visit to the Thien Hau Temple of Five Races and the Whale Temple. In the evening, enjoy the fresh seafood in a local restaurant.

Day 03: Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh (B, L, D)

After breakfast, visit to the Summer Palace of the Emperor Bao Dai, the Jesus Monument, which overlooks the peninsula and the Pacific Ocean. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh after lunch. Upon arrival, visit Ben Thanh market the biggest market for shopping and the other shopping stores.

Day 04: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong River (B, L, D)

A full day trip to the watery world of the Mekong Delta. It will take just a couple of hours by road from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City's streets.

Take a boat trip along narrow waterways overhung with dense vegetation and try exotic fruits in one of the many orchards on Thoi Son Island. For lunch sample the local delicacy, Elephant's Ear Fish. Visit the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda.
