Duong Lam is a commune of Son Tay town, Hanoi, Vietnam. Duong Lam becomes the first ancient village in Vietnam. Two of Vietnam’s kings, Phung Hung (761-802) and Ngo Quyen (896-944) were born in Duong Lam, giving the village its prestige. Both men led resistance wars against northern invasion and after winning national independence, were crowned kings. After their deaths, the local people built temples in their honor.

The ancient village has a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400 years.

One special thing about the village is rằng Most of the buildings here are made of laterite and mud, two materials are abundant in the area rằng. Laterite dùng on house walls, gates, wells, temple walls, and so forth. The mud is taken from ponds. Our Guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8h30am departure for Duong Lam Village. It take us about 2 hours driving to the West of Hanoi to reach to Duong Lam Village, a purely agricultural village of the northern Red River dental which still preserves many hundreds year old house.

Arrive Duong Lam Village, we will visit Mong Phu communue - the only hamlet whose original entrance remains intact. Continue on through thennarrow alleys to see the old laterite houses which make up this charming village.

For Lunch, enjoy a local style meal in a 100-years old house.

After Lunch, we will do for biking tour to visit around the beautiful, peaceful village. We will circling on narrow road between the rice paddies, maize, peanut, vegetables...

We stop in Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes - Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung .

Then we continuecircling to vvisit Mia Pagoda (another helmet of Duong Lam), built in the 15h century, some 287 statues of all sizes can be seen here, among which are famous sculptures such as the statue of Buddha and the statues of the (Eight Vajra Deities).

After visit impressive Pagoda we willbbiking back to the ancient house where we got the Bike, enjoy drink before get on the car to come back to hotel in Hanoi. Tour end in your hotel.
