The Stunning view of North Vietnam, especially The North East Vietnam is of legendary beauty, including mountain covered with vegetation, both on land and at sea (Ha Long Bay).

Farther inland, the mountains are also home to an incredible mosaic of mountain people from diverse backgrounds, who have installed over multiple waves of migration from southern China, fleeing the Chinese expansionist push.

We will meet these people on the mountain trails and on the markets in a region bordering China, the beautiful enigmatic rock formations, among which are rice terraces and villages. We first discovered on foot and by boat on Ba Be Lake, around which people live H’mong, Dao (pronounced Zao) and Tay. Then we will cross the limestone from the Upper Tonkin Cao Bang, Dong Khe up and That Khe, through a landscape of great beauty, inhabited by populations Tay, Nung and Dao. We will then explore by boat the famous Ha Long Bay, but also that of BaiTu Long is a natural extension

Itinerary: Hanoi, Ba Be, Cam Thuong, Tua Ban, Bo lu, Cao Bang, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Ha Long, Cat Ba, Ha Noi

Day 1: Ha Noi (D)

Arrive in Ha Noi. Meet the guide and transfer to downtown.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 2: Ha Noi-Ba Be (B, L, D)

Departure for Ba Be lakes north of Red River via Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan. Overnight homestay in a house on stilts in the lake.

Day 3: Ba Be – Trekking Cam Thuong (B, L, D)

Boat tour through the three lakes and surrounding mountains covered with forests. Disembarkation to Dau Dang waterfall, which is being a pleasant hike to the village of Ban Tau, lives by Dao Tien.

Day 4: Cam Thuong – Tua Ban – Bo lu (B, L, D)

Continuation of the hike to the village of Tay Hum.

After the picnic, we continue to Bo Lu a small lake village.

Day 5: Bo Lu – Cao Bang (B, L, D)

Road to Cao Bang. Near Phac Na, walking through the fields that will be an opportunity to discover the techniques of field work of Tay. Encounter along the way Dao Tien with silver coins on their costumes. Over the road climbs, the terrain is more mountainous.

Day 6: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc (B, L, D)

We discover the waterfall at Ban Gioc regarded as the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam. China is just on the other side of the waterfalls. Excursion on foot along the river.

After lunch, back to Cao Bang and overnight in hotel.

Day 7: Cao Bang – Lang Son (B, L, D)

We borrow the famous Route Coloniale No. 4. Ballad in Dong Khe That Khe will happen before. Arrive late afternoon after a Lang Son border town between Vietnam and China.

Free time to explore the market of Dong Kinh.

Day 8: Lang Son – Ha Long (B, L, D)

Drive to Halong Bay and watching the busy rice paddies over the road.

Arrive in BaiChay, after boarding a morning excursion to Ha Long Bay. We arrive late in the afternoon after a Cat Ba, the largest island in Ha Long Bay.

Day 9: Ha Long – Cat Ba (B, L, D)

Transfer to Cat Ba National Park and hiking amidst lush vegetation. After lunch, embaquement to HaiPhong, then drive to Hanoi. Evening theater: live music and traditional water puppetry.

Day 10: Cat Ba – Ha Noi (B, L)

Visit of the present capital of Vietnam: the Ethnographic Museum, the Temple of Literature, and Lake of the Restored Sword with the legend of the giant tortoise. Free time and transfer to airport for return flight.
